I'm an absolute newbie with OSS on VMS. I have GNV set up and running OK, and I was actually able to install nethack, as a "fun test".

When you say that phpMyAdmin 2.9.2 is "...working without modification on VAMP", does that mean that I could just:

- download the source from sourceforge
- build from source without any tweaking of "config" files?
- have a working phpMyAdmin?

Download the tarball, use GNV to unpack it, make a virtual folder and away you go.
